Christmas is a time where the whole family gets together, this is the most joyful time of the year. The host can sometimes become stressed with the burden of making Christmas dinner, trying to entertain the guests and keeping strong minded guests from arguing with each other.

Here are 5 must watch shows this Christmas:

  1. Cinderella – This pantomime is staged in a traditional English Pub. You know and love these characters but the unique twist is that they are colliding in a local boozer. The audience are welcomed to the heart of the action, they watch pints being spilled, hearts poured out on the karaoke and mates pulled.

    The performance is crammed with live music with a touch of midnight magic. The award winning theatre company Not Too Tame have teamed up with top theatre and TV writer Luke Barnes for their version of Cinderella. This performance is just what the family needs, buy a drink from the on stage bar and get into the festive spirit.
     
  2. Nativity – This is a festive family show that appeals to everyone. This will be Nativity the musical’s third and final year so London show tickets are selling fast. This London theatre show is about Every Child’s Christmas wish to star in a nativity.  The only trouble is that teacher Mr Maddens has promised that a Hollywood producer will turn the show into a film. This show has legendary cast members such as Sharon Osbourne, Radio presenter Rylan Clark Neal and west end star Simon Lipkin as Mr Poppy. The show was adapted for the stage by Debbie Isitt, the creator of the much loved film.
     
  3. An Act of God – This comedic performance has an alternative Christmas message. The dissatisfied deity who is weary of the original commandments starts to deliver a fresh set of rules for the modern world. The deity who is played by comedian Zoe Lyons will answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind in the most comedic manner. The performance is written by David Javerbaum and was twice a smash hit on Broadway. For the European premier, the play was rewritten with the British audience in mind.
     
  4. Fame – This is the 30th Anniversary tour of Fame the Musical. This is based on the 1980’s pop culture film with the same name.  Fame the musical is an international smash hit which follows the lives of students at New York’s high School for performing arts. They navigate their way through highs and lows, romances and heartbreaks and elation of life.
     
  5. The tiger who came to tea – This is a special Christmas treat for your children. This performance is based on Britain’s best loved picture book by Judith Kerr. There are many sing a long songs and clumsy chaos. This is a stunning stage adaptation of the classic tale of teatime mayhem.
