HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?

The show lasts approx 2 hours and 10 minutes, including one interval.

 

WILL THERE BE ANY AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION?

There is no audience participation in this production

 

HOW DO I GET TO THE JERWOOD GALLERY?

The Natural History Museum has three entrances, on Cromwell Road, Exhibition Road and Queen's Gate. For matinee performances, patrons can enter the Museum through the Cromwell Road or Exhibition Road entrances. For evening performances, patrons must enter the museum via the Queen’s Gate entrance only.

 

WHERE IS THE THEATRE?

London SW7 5BD. The Natural History Museum has three entrances. The Jerwood Theatre is located near the Dinosaur exhibit.

Audience members for the 7:30pm showtimes should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance via the Queen’s Gate entrance

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I AM LATE?

Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point during the performance. 

 

WHAT IF I NEED TO LEAVE THE AUDITORIUM DURING THE PERFORMANCE?

It may not always be possible to readmit patrons who leave the auditorium.

 

IS THE SHOW SUITABLE FOR MY CHILD?

The show is suitable for children aged 8 years and over however the puppetry and visual elements will appeal to younger people, but some of the Scientific content may go above their heads.

IS THE THEATRE FULLY ACCESSIBLE?

Yes – Access to the Theatre is available using a lift from the Queens Gate entrance, or for the matinee peformances from the main entrance with no lift. Row F is step Free.

 

CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OR VIDEO INSIDE THE THEATRE?

For the safety of performers and the enjoyment of all audience members, photography and filming of any kind are not permitted.

 

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM?

There is not a cloakroom on site. Audience members will need to keep all belongings with them, and store them under their seat if necessary. For this reason, bags that do not fit comfortably under a single seat will not be permitted. All bags may be subject to searches by security. 

 

IS THERE A BAR?

Yes there is a bar/cafe located in the Darwin centre, very close to the Theatre.

 

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There are no parking facilities on-site and parking around the Museum is limited. 

 

There is a small number of parking spaces on-site for Blue Badge holders. Please book in advance by calling the Natural History Museum on +44 (0)20 7942 6230. You can access these spaces via Queen’s Gate, SW7 5HD, to the west of the Museum.

There are also twelve Blue Badge parking spaces on Exhibition Road. These spaces are managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and cannot be booked in advance. You can park there for four hours between 8.30 and 18.30. Find out more on the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's website.

 

WHAT IF I’M HAVING DIFFICULTY BOOKING ONLINE?

IS THERE A BOOKING FEE?

Tickets can be booked online for free but if guests wish to have their tickets posted or collected at box office there is a £1.75 charge on top of the whole transaction. Print at Home tickets would be free. If guests book over the phone there is a £2 charge per ticket.

 

WHEN WILL MY TICKETS ARRIVE?

If you book online and choose the ‘print at home’ option you can print your tickets immediately, without paying the dispatch fee. If you choose to have your tickets posted to you, your tickets will arrive no later than five days prior to the performance. If you book less than five days prior to the performance, you will need to collect your tickets.

 

HOW DO I ARRANGE REPLACEMENT TICKETS?

If your tickets have been lost or damaged, let us know as soon as possible. We are unable to post reprinted tickets, and you will need to collect them in person prior to the performance. Photo ID and the card used to book the ticket will be required to verify your booking. There is a charge of £1 per ticket for re-prints.

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVEN’T RECEIVED AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION?

Please check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folders. If your confirmation email has been delivered to one of these folders, please add our address to your saved contacts. If you haven’t received a confirmation email at all, please contact us at [email protected].

 

WHAT IF I WANT TO EXCHANGE MY TICKETS?

We can exchange tickets if you contact us at least 48 hours prior to a performance, subject to availability. We can only exchange tickets for those at the same or at a greater value, and there is an exchange fee of £1.50 per ticket. We are unable to post exchanged tickets, and you will need to collect them in person prior to the performance. Please note that you will need to return the original tickets by post or in person before we can issue any exchanged tickets.

 

CAN I GET A REFUND FOR MY TICKETS?

Once you have purchased tickets they cannot be refunded, unless the performance has been cancelled or rescheduled. KX Tickets is not liable for adverse weather conditions, travel arrangements, or other factors that may cause you to request a refund.

 

CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR SOMEBODY ELSE?

Yes. Please provide the name of the person attending at the point of purchase. If the named ticket holder can no longer attend and somebody else will be collecting the tickets, please contact us and let us know. We will not be able to issue tickets to anybody other than the named ticket holder without their verification in advance.
