Introduction to the cast of Terrible Thames

The Terrible Thames boat tour has returned for 2024, offering audiences young and old the chance to immerse themselves in the horrible history of London’s famous Thames river. Exploring the stories of kings and queens, heroes and villains, it takes you past some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, delivering unexpected and terrible truths along the way. The cast rotates, with a host of experienced actors making your journey memorable. Let’s take a look at some of those who might be setting sail alongside you.

Jake Addley - Teacher

Jake’s acting career began when he was a child and he appeared in Shakespeare plays and pantomimes from the age of 10. At 16 he had the opportunity to attend the BRIT School in Croydon, where he studied acting and dancing. He was in a contemporary dance group before being offered the role of the Teacher in the Terrible Thames river tour.

Rob Cummings - Teacher

Rob has been acting professionally since 2010 and has taken on a variety of roles in both theatre and television. He has played Long John Silver in Wicked Productions’ Treasure Island and Dracula/Dr Seward several times at various theatres. His other credits include Captain Hook/Mr Darling in Peter Pan (Theatre Royal, Margate), King Triton in the South East tour of The Little Mermaid, and Basil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers the Dining Experience (UK & International tour).

Roger Parkins - Teacher

Roger Parkins attended the East 15 Acting School and has been appearing on the stage since graduating in 2011. He has appeared as John Watson in Sherlock Holmes (Leicester Square Studio Theatre), Sir Hugh in The Merry WIves of Windsor (The Dell - RSC), Bill Sykes in Oliver Twist (European Tour) and Horatio in Hamlet (TNT Theatre). His screen credits include Disney’s Loki Season 2 and Followers.

Harriet Munday - Billy

Harriet is one of the talented actors that plays the student, Billy. Cheeky and boisterous, Billy knows more about the Thames than their teacher gives them credit for. Harriet’s first season with Terrible Thames was in 2022; she was also touring the UK with the Terrible Tudors show that year. She returned to Terrible Thames in 2023 and is back again for the 2024 season.

Dominic Treacy - Billy

A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Dominic made his name as Timms in the 2020 production of The History Boys (Wolverhampton Grand Theatre). The following year, he starred as Willy in The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) (Hope Street Theatre). His pantomime credits include Caleb in Mother Goose (Everyman Theatre).
